(Kyle Anderson @ Mar. 24 2008,15:44)QUOTECertainly a great platform to start any build off of. I'm looking forward to seeing this finished.
Mind me asking what you paid for it?
$200 cash.
Here's the vid I promised to deliver. Taken this morning. Official start of "Project '88 Beretta GT Custom".

Ok, You Tube is being slower than dogcrap on approving the last vid here (lights/dash). So I thought I would post that the White '88 GT I was gonna pick up today was a no go. The interior ,upon closer inspection had several breaks in the trim , one piece missing entirely, someone stripped the wheels and tires, and the dash was horrible. So...I'll be doing piece work for my interior. Hoping for black pieces, but will take Grey or other colors if I have to and dye them. So... we're on our way slowly but surely.
Oh, and now the RIGHT front tire decided to go flat! Time for another $5 Fix-A-Flat cure. Those tires and rims will be replaced with brand new ones later , but for now I need rollers.

Sounds like it runs really nice! I want to see this thing completed with a nice paintjob on it.

2? Only one bro. That project is going back burner for now. I got other irons in the fire that I'm more interested in and that Indy vert project still needs some serious research. It's gonna be a long termer for sure! The other you may be thinking of is the Teal Indy 5 speed outta Denver that was on Ebay? Yea after I offered that prick $1500 CASH and he says "I'll absolutely take no less than $2000" he turns around and lets it go for $1700 on Ebay. What a douche!!

seems like a nice find if you ask me, take your tb apart and clean that sucker real good, pick up a can of 2+2 carb and choke cleaner and while the car is running spray it directly into the the tb, this crap is the **** when it comes to cleaning gunk off your tb, its real easy to dissasemble the tb, so after you sprayed the tb with it and your pretty sure the plenum doesnt have as much of a coating of black crap, then go back and do that, you wont regret it, i promise.
the z26 is on the road!

i dont know if your willing to get this, but i think this might be a good potential parts car for ya, and im sure you could make some money with the rest of the parts from it, in fact, if you wanted, all you would have to paint is the rear section of the body itself red, and you could transfer everything else and you would have that cool paint job with it, lol, and a nice ride in style, i think you should pick this baby up!

Not bad... Another clue that it's an 88 is the instrument cluster with the outlined gauges..
Oh, and that sounds like a chambered muffler (like a flowmaster).
What are the headlights supposed to go in?

A headlight panel I think I have somewhere in the miscellaneous parts pile, lol. If not, I'll have to pick one up. The whole front end as far as fenders, hood, bumper is just resting there for now. I'll worry about the headlights etc. once I start final assembly. Although if someone has a decent headlight panel..... I'd be interested.
As far as the minute details to tell the '88's from the '89 I gotta say Cliff I'm impressed. I never really paid attention to pre '90 Berettas before this car. Thx for the tips. You are obviously more of a Beretta Xpert than I.
You're probably right about the exhaust. Gilbert said Muffler or Pak, couldn't remember which and haven't crawled under to look yet as it's not at the top of my list of concerns with this car. It DOES sound pretty nice though, yea?
Thx for changing the year in the topic title if that was you btw.

Oh, I was talking about the lights you had in that video. What are those headlights originally supposed to fit? You said the tails are for a Benz, but not what the headlights are for.
