quad4 3.63fdr trans or 3.94fdr trans???

I would just inspect your trans. I've been through a few of them and the only problems I found was pitting on the bell housing side output shaft bearing and sloppy diff bushings. If all bearings are good then check syncros. You can see if there worn. You will see wear on the reverse gear that's normal and nothing to worry about
