That's good news. Take care of it ASAP. If you need more time like I did use some oil to hold it off. You will have to get the oil off way before you do the repaint. Eastwood sells something called PRE that will take the oil off. They also have alot of derusting things(dissolver and converter). It's www.eastwood.com if you want to look.

It's like looking at my old car! Well, the steering column and the wheel were black(looks so strange to see them that color). I see the pad. How's the dash? Watch out some primer lets water soak in.

The dash is pushing and pulling all over the place - real bad up by the defrost vents and is distorted around all the other vents and around the cluster.  If i remember right, there are cracks in it too.  I haven't had the pad off in a while.

I know about that all too well. It is very hard to get another dash. I never did get one. A newer dash will fit, it just will not work with the door panels you have now. If no one can see the dash, I guess you won't need one. Take very good care of the door panels(they are like gold).

My door panels are in very good shape - only the passenger panel has a tear in it.  Also the seats are in very good shape as well with only the expected wear - no tears.  That picture didn't do it very good justice.

Does you driver side seat rock? Just asking. The little white wheels that go in the track were bad on my car. Drove me nuts!

Now that you say that, it does, but not too bad.  I was planning on taking the seats out when it got nicer and warmer and looking at them better and replacing whatever i needed to.

I think that you can only get the wheels (rollers?) at a junk yard.
