One way flight, hop in the car and drive it home.
Done it TWICE. LA to Toronto. 2800 miles.
Had a ball!

I just checked around and shipping was less than I had thought. I was able to ship a car from Denver to Chicago for $600 door to door.

Call a few dealerships in NM near SGR and ask who they use for car shipping. That's the best way I've found to get an honest quote for car shipping.

Having gone back an read what you are actually looking for, I'm not sure SGR's car is what you are looking for.
You want a DD to get back and forth to your responsibilities. A custom built Quad may well be the last thing you need to worry about.
Yes it's a great opportunity, and needs the right person to grab it, but is it what you want, or NEED?
Just my .02
Cheers

Re: Beretta wanted (z26, gtu, gt, gtz)
I agree with Asylum, if you want the car I would fly out and get it. But a quasar quad isn't really a car to DD, but that's just my .02
If I didn't already own 5 beretta's now I would probably pick it up

Re: Beretta wanted (z26, gtu, gt, gtz)
I was honestly thinking about that too, how brutal it would be for me to beat it up by daily driving it.. Not that I would be abusive, but for something even more rust free and perfect than my old 14 year garaged GTZ I sold last year, you pose excellent points both of you. I want it and need it I guess, and putting tons of miles on it could be a waste of a good rust free car in my New England winters and such here. Granted I do rock the k1500 4x4 in bad weather... lot's to think about. I will come to a conclusion soon, I appreciate the feedback thus far my fellow beretta co-fans!!

Re: Beretta wanted (z26, gtu, gt, gtz)
I still don't understand why some want to DD a really good condition beretta.... At least your seeing that downside of it and quite possibly not going to do it. My beretta's are for good weather only, No winter, and I DD my Subaru, for two reasons... It's safer and it's worth more so insurance companies wont total it if you get a ding from a shopping basket.
Re: Beretta wanted (z26, gtu, gt, gtz)
The Quad makes an amazing daily driver actually, and SGR's car is a stock rebuild (nothing that would make it unpleasant to drive). If you're going to winter drive it, then yea, I'd recommend a 2.2 base 5spd that's already got some rust issues.

I met him once before, I got some side skirts and a rear bumper from him.

Maybe he just re-considered and decided that was not the car he needed! (Because it is probably not.)SuzukiGhostRider wrote:Anyone here who knows TVC personally? I've not received via email or pm here.
OR, he was captured by Aliens and will be deposited in New Mexico with cash in hand.
OR?

MY GOD DO I WISH THAT WAS TRUE

I am sorry I haven't been online. Wow I did not even realize I had post responses (my bad). I have been working twelve hour days for the past weekish. PM-ed you SGR. I am still in thinking stages. On one hand I have a truck for winter driving, and most of my other driving is to NY, all highway to see my family or cruising around on date night with the future wife. Here is how I am processing this ATM:
pros:
- always wanted a quasar gtz, really SGR's car has been an interest of mine for years
- recent rebuild, very nice cond.
- will be dependable with maintenance
- ITS A RUST FREE GTZ
cons:
- shipping / getting car back here
- being afraid of putting any kind of mileage on such a nice GTZ (been there once with my Garnet one, then sold it, two big mistakes in a row).
- with the cost of shipping and all, slightly outside of my current budget
It's a balance of pros and cons. I can assure you all that if I do end up puchasing the vehicle, it will receive the same meticulous care and love I gave to my original garnet GTZ, hell even more love because this will be 2x covered in the driveway when not in use. I am unsure what direction I point just yet, but ghosting like this was my mistake. I apologize everyone, I will do my best to at least check the forum periodically from this point on.
As I said SGR you have been PM-ed, with my cell number.
