dont send it to the junkyard and buy it back if you are going to keep it keep it if not send it on its way to bigger horizons i did not let them take my car also then you will have a salvage title otherwise you will not if you keep it. what year is your car? you should still get at least 700 cash value and also ask them how are you going to get a reliable ride for less than 400 bucks  that will get things turning in your direction go after their insurance if you can.

I'm working on getting more money. Saw her today, I touched her, set in the seat and it felt like home(man, it felt good). She is too far gone, I knew this the first time I saw her. They now say 5g for the repair and it still will not be right. I got my speakers, amps and few other things. Well my man, she was a 90GT. When she goes to the junkyard I will pull more parts, my friend said that he will help. I have a CD that my girl burned for me with a Phil Collins song that I know well, I think the name is "let it rain" I hope that's the name. It just goes along with how I feel. I hope this doesn't take away anything from this song for others that like it. I guess I'd better stop, don't want to bring others down.

I will! I have to drive my 04 Cav LS now. It has 40K on it, but I miss the TQ of my V6. There are many other things I don't like. Oh well what can I do about it now. Life with out a Beretta is not life at all. The thing is most people that have Berettas will not give them up. I see a old man with one that is in the best shape I've ever seen, it's all stock and everything is still there. I have never seen someone so happy to drive one. Mine gave me so much trouble I could almost say that I hated that car, but you know better.

This seems to be the problem with older cars, insurance companies will only see the car in terms of monetary value. I got hit in the passenger side door about 2 months ago and the repair bill was $1600. The insurance company wanted to total the car and give me about $1300 for it. At which point, after some choice words, I pulled out all the receipts from the engine swap, at which point the company reluctantly approved the work. I think about all the problems this car has and has given me, and my mom certainly thinks it foolish, but I couldn't dream of parting with it. I'm sorry for your loss, it's so funny how some people only look at cars as a way to get from point A to point B, or only in monetary worth. I think both are wrong. A car is freedom, and how you can't get attached to one, especially after all that we go through with them, is a mystery to me. But that's life, and as much as it sucks, you might have to let it go. You already pulled out the stereo equipment, I suggest you pull out something to remember it by. I wish you all the best for the future, and sincerely hope you heal up with no lasting injuries from the crash.

Man, everthing you said is right on. Yea, it's just a car(my butt). It was my life for sure, why else would I have come to this place. I came to Bnet to get help and to give some to others who love these cars. I'm going to try to take some inside photos. That may help me to remember. To berettajunkie, I have to give up, I don't want to. Like I said before, I wish that my car looked as good as both of yours do. Some day I hope to have another, only time will tell.

Thanks, I will! Man that insurance fool struck again. I called the body shop where my car is at to take it off of their hands and find somewhere else to put it. They told me that the insurance came and took my car to a place called Insurance Auto Auctions and I had heard nothing about this from anybody. I'm still getting all of my receipts together. I got mad and called my agent and we got to work on this problem. Friday I'll find out just what's going on. I may have to pull a rope-a-dope on this fool who ever he is. This is not over yet! The battle was to keep the car up and make it better. That's over, now a new battle has started.

dude that is absolutely retarded not knocking you but as soon as i got hit i had it towed to my house just because i have a habit of not trusting anyone plus i knew that it would be a total loss so i said screw it and have it towed to my house because all they would do is take it and junk it and if that was the case i was going to take everything i could out of the car i would not let anyone make money off of my car without me doing it myself. But that is some grade a bull ish

You guys this support really helps. I think I have it worked out now. It just took a few calls to the right people. I would have had the car towed to my home, but I wasn't thinking clear at the time. I still don't remember much of what happened. I'd say the shock had the best of me. One thing I do remember is that I ran after the cab before it came to a stop not to far away. The driver got out and I said "what the hell is Fn wrong with you, you ran a red light". He said that I did and that was when I went to hit him. His passenger held me back, (my head was in a fog so I couldn't understand why I couldn't move) then he said that's good man, it's not worth it. Later he said that he should have let me hit the cab driver because he deserved it. I would have went to jail for that. I wasn't drunk (I passed the test if you are unsure). After I passed the other cop said" what kinda drugs are you two on tonight?" I said very loud "excuse me?" the cop standing next to him said"don't, he already went after the cab driver".  There is little else that I remember. The Auto Auctions place is also a junkyard, so Saturday I'll call them to see if I can get some of my parts. With all of this checking into things I found out that I've spent about 5G's on this car and it still need paint and a engine rebuild. That's the money pit for ya!
