Help fuel problems?

that check valve is in the fuel pump itself, you fixed the problem when you replaced the pump.

Help fuel problems?

Post by APACHE 64D »

i replaced the fuel pump and i think it fixed the problem. However from time to time i do hear the loud winny noise i spoke of before. It sounds as if the pump is being asked to provide more pressure or something. I've got a question though, what could be causing the iac to go bad? i say this because the car when it won't start all i do is reset the iac and it works without a problem. what could be causing this problem? could the pcv be causing this? thanks

You could try a new IAC. Man, a few weeks ago I pulled my car out and it was at 2500RPM, then went down to 1500. I had a bad TPS, just replaced it and everything is ok now. I had a new pump put on my 90GT and it made noise all the time(I was happy to hear that, it told me that this one was working).
