Barry, yes i've swapped more than two that way. The selector doesn't matter you just never have the range on the inside handle to hit the 1 gear so it uses OD, D, L like normal or OD, 3, 2. As it would be marked on the wbody. It still functions exactly the same.

Jon ill answer your questions later when I'm on my desktop.

Mount is not the same.
I'm running a 3.33FDR with no trouble because it's from a 95 as said above. Really wish I had a bit more though.
Good point Cliff, but I think that the computer still won't let the trans go into 1st untill you get down to 20mph anyway.

The side cover is the 6 bolt structural side cover. vs the 4 bolt or no bolt one that comes on other cars. There is no where to mout our side trans bracket to it without the 6 bolt cover.

There are no tune settings for a higer stall and a 2095 stall shouldn't change much of anything I ran that on my DD 3400 red car. If your having other issues with shifting or take off then there is something else wrong with the trans.

2nd that in the 2095 stall. That is what I have. I really think that a 2200 or 2500rpm stall would have been better. But 2500rpm would seem to be a bit high for a DD car.

Well I pulled a trans out of a 95 corsi today with 70k on it. I also pulled the trans from the beretta. Ill throw the new one in tomorrow. A trans jack would be nice. With the 5-speed I just put it on my chest and push it up and in. With this 2 ton turd its gonna be a floorjack manhandle.

Jon, look familiar?

Whenn we did the purple cars trans twice, my uncle had a motorcycle jack it was great lol. The trans fit perfectly on top. I think it looks thee same as a trans jack.

Well its back on the road and shifting as crappy as it did back in 95(this means its okay)

Kinda a PITA, pulling it at the jy, coming home pulling it out of his car, doing heater core lines while I had it out, then putting it back in today. Did I mention its kinda hot out? 95 degrees in the sun.

That's why I want an air conditioned garage. This heat/humidity sucks; I was inside pretty much all day yesterday.

Thats why I didn't move to the dirty south... ;) Its bad enough up here sometimes.

Race shop is AC'd... Once I get insulation in my shop I'll drop in an AC unit too.

This was the best place location-wise for me to move to when I relocated for a job 6 years ago; gotta look at the overall picture (jobs, economy, cost of living, etc). That and I didn't want to live in the Florida swaplands, BFE Indiana, or way out in Vegas.

Adjustable Vacuum Modulator Barry. That helps firm up those shifts. Pioneer# 747017. Advance Auto sells them.
