I have driven a 2.3 non HO and a 2.4 . They have their power in the top end, where your 3.1 has it's power in the low end. I would like to drive a 2.3HO to see what it's like. There is still good low end power with the 2.3 Quad vs the 2.2 Ecotec that I have.

I can tell you that if I could I would take the Ecotec out of my Cavalier and put a Quad in. As for giving up a 3.1 for a Quad I'm not sure about that.
