Also the low coolant thing is a magnet sensor, so I would guess the magnet is goo'd up in there and just doesn't move.
Sorry, missed your post.

That makes sense, I did not know they had a different fitting style for 96. Interesting. Had I but known, I would have done exactly that! LOL Where were you earlier when I first put the pics up??? :P

As for the other, yeah it's possible. May look into it, if I have to take it apart again sometime. :D

I know very well how the pump operates and the fact that, yes the lower RPM will cause less flow. What I was pointing out, was that it does NOT act like my 94 in the sense that I see more fluctuation in the temperature gauge. I was comparing this to prior experience with a similar car. This may indeed just be a normal characteristic. Since I haven't really seen any other specific detailings of moment to moment driving of another beretta's cooling system, I figured that by describing what I was seeing, maybe someone would say something like... "Hey, mine does the same thing, probably normal" Or "Hey, you may want to check this, I had that same symptom and this is what it was."

Not "Hey dumbass, I think you overlooked the obvious."

LOL
And I'm getting sick of all the sensitive little bitches getting all butt hurt all the time and taking EVERY single post like a personal attack....

Caps on the words are for emphasis in type. If you feel stupid, I can't help you there. Read a book and try to feel smarter....

All the bitching, bickering, crying and whining is EXACTLY the reason why this board has been slow as crap again lately...

Why not try underlining your emphasis, or bold it, rather than caps then. Caps always make a poster look pissed off and angry or offended, and others take it as such. Might help your cause. lol

And all I was doing was try to expand what i already knew. Not have it re-iterated. Something was acting differently than what I already knew and expected. Not that hard to see, I didn't think.

And believe me, I'm about fed up with all of the crap on here too. And yes I typed crap! LMAO

What really sucks is that it always seems to be you that gets on my nerves the most. Not sure why, but always feel that you have to state I'm like always wrong about something or doing something in a wrong way or that I don't know my own ass from a hole in the ground. Ah well.

Used to it I guess. Can't win or lose at this rate. Its like that other thread. I never knew or was taught that removing the TR end would possibly allow you to remove the axle. I still don't think it would work reliably, but who knows. I have done it the other way so many times for me it doesn't matter. But I honestly wonder if I sat down and actually timed you if it would really take you as long as it said or longer.... LOL

Just busting your chops. Seriously, I don't have hate issues, just .. frustrated with you sometimes.. If that makes sense.

Anyway. Cheers, no worries, just try to think about what others interpret what you say. I know I'm not the only one that gets ya wrong and I know others get me wrong too sometimes.

As for the base, updates, should finally get the replacement decklid painted tomorrow. Coolant seems to be good, radiator is working fine, etc. Temp still fluctuates a lot but not going to worry about it.

Doubt there is anything I can really do anyway right now. Long drives at 55 it stays just a hair over a quarter, but as soon as I come to a stop it will climb up to nearly the half mark. Doesn't ever get high enough to kick the fan on, barely goes past the half ever, except when cold and warming up till the t stat opens. It can hit nearly 3/4 at that point. Soon as that stat opens, bam! Drops to a quarter or less.... lol

As a comparison, the Z would barely move the gauge while slowing to a stop. It might go from a hair above a quarter to 3 hairs... lol And its on its original water pump too.

I had it linked in here earlier, it was from ebay, made by the American Eagle Radiator company out of Tawian or someplace. LOLi

Boy does that make sense. Yeah, American Radiator company but not built in America. But for the price of less than 60 shipped, I took the gamble.

Back when the intake let loose in '04, the temperature gauge fluctuated quite a bit like it is doing now. I had the temperature sending unit replaced and it took care of the problem. I wonder if that could be the problem now?

Anyhow, I'm glad to see the progress you are making on the Base. You are doing the things I never had the time to fix or take care off, especially the head unit lol. I'm still digging through the garage for left over parts for you. Hope you don't think I've forgotten about them.

Can't wait to see how the decklid looks on there.

Yeah no real gamble, all you need is a 96 upper hose if the current one you got still isn't shaped the way you need it to be.

Eh, the one I have works fine for now Jon, but its still good to know it wasn't a total screwup.

And no worries there Brandon, but let me know when you do ship that stuff out.

Update, got some items from scd88ga today. He sent me a very nice replacement seat cover for the driver's seat. Replacement arm rest, put that away for a spare. Someplace in the box should be some clips or bolts, but they must be in the shock boxes... I also bought 2 rear shocks for a 94 and older (they are for the Z), so have those to install next spring. Should be fun.

Anyway, stuff came, it looks good so far. Now to find time to get more done to the base. If the weather gives me a halfway decent day this week I will be doing some work to it. :D

There is a Ziploc bag in one of the shock boxes with the 2 back seat bottom bolts, the core support cover plastic clips and the shock hardware for both shocks. ;)

Yeah I found them. Now to just get a day to work on things. I still have yet to get the decklid painted. We have to get the S10 out of the shop, so it doesn't get overspray on it.... lol

That reminds me, I have more pics to take tomorrow. We have been working hard on the truck the last couple days.

As for the base, all I did was drive it a bit today. Think I have a ball joint going out on the driver's side, has started in with a very annoying rattle when driving over gravel or bumps. Sounds like a ball joint anyway, similar to what it sounded like on the Z. Guess I will find out soon enough. Easy to change anyway. Other than that, running good. Coolant leaks seem to be gone, and so far nothing has showed up in the oil, I keep checking it. Almost 2k on it since I got it, going to need an oil change soon. Switching it over to synthetic and a taller filter. I think Brandon has always ran Quaker and a short filter while he had it.

Yeah, sadly I know that. But no. Might hit the whole thing with a polisher next spring though. Have some rust areas to gloss over first, again once winter is over, but nothing special. It is what it is. :P

I have a lot more to do obviously. Besides it needing a bath, I will eventually have to work on the rust areas and try to improve them a bit. Not going to go crazy, but will see what can be done. I like how it looks now, the decklid just looks so much cleaner! :D
