Re: My GTZ Returns--Shes Home 3/7 Vid & Pics!!

Im pretty sure i can Shane. Before with just the ported head, exhaust manifold intake, exhaust and crappy muffler, i pulled a 15.5@92. That was on HO cams and the 3.61 tranny. With the W41s, 3.94 and a better intake and muffler, im sure i can pull into the 14s with no problem. Gonna take some work though ;)

Don't say you can do it no problem... you'll be greatly disappointed when you miss it by just a little... I always say who knows what it will run, and I take what I can get... LOL :)

Yeah, im sure with this new trans i will have to find the sweet spot to launch. On the 3.61 i was launching at 3500 and pulling a 2.2 60'. I have yet to light up a 3.94 but i hear they have big 1st gear traction issues lol

VERY big. They will spin all day through first until you learn the launch RPM and clutch feather on the trans. Trust me. Remember my videos of the SCX? :P

Car looks and sounds great! Good work man.

Aight so its been a lil crazy around here the last week or so, but today was pretty nice out, so i went and took some pics in a neighborhood i havent been in before and got some neat pics. I also loaded up the vid cam later in the day and took a better vid of the car running with the cams. Since i have been having a hard time getting clear pics with my shaky hands, i took the tripod with me and had some fun. Didnt take as many as i thought i would, but but still got some good ones.

And finally a shot of the engine bay completed for the time being. I still have a cold air box im working on for the air filter and i need to install a washer bottle from a 92+ car as well. Other than those few things under the hood, im done under there. You'll notice i have my wiper motor installed now. I just put in a new clutch master cylinder the other day that fits the car (the one i had in there before was hitting the bottom of the wiper motor).

As far as the outside is concerned, im wanting to tint the windows before bfest, maybe do some paint. I have some plans for the front end, but i doubt i will have time between now and then to get it even remotely started. I have decided that im going to keep the two tone paint scheme, im going to lower the aqua to the upper body line, and then between the aqua and white will be a silver stripe about an inch wide to break things up. I'll see about getting a photochop of it at some point, but thats my plan. For the front end mods, that will remain a secret ;)

Let me know what you guys and gals think! Enjoy!

Oh, and heres an updated vid with better sound and picture ;)

YAY!!
Now all we need is a painting party ;)

Mostly you meet friends when traveling by accident, like by sitting next to them on the train, or in a restaurant, or in a holding cell.

Thanks everyone! Who wants to help me paint? lol And no, i will not paint my car with a brush. If anything, rattle cans, much cleaner and smoother.

Dan, those pics were taken in the very back of Yavapai Hills. Its an area that still way under-developed.
