Today I did a couple things. Worked on the base, redoing the wiring, taking the extra parts out of the car, getting it ready for a good cleaning, before putting it back on the road hopefully next week. Looking good. Will get some pics tomorrow and put them in the project thread for it, if anyone cares.

Not much else, worked on the van, my dad and I managed to get it pulled out and straight enough we think to start reassembling. Pics of that tomorrow as well. All the parts are in the shop now, getting ready for paint. Have to trim them out, then we can throw them back on the van, then we can paint it!

Once the base is up and running and road legal, the Z will be getting a thorough cleaning, prep and put away for the winter. Its about that time. I would like to have it put away this year BEFORE the snow flies. Last year it was after the snow started falling. Well it was way late in the year anyway.

Havent been on here for a few weeks, been doing a few things to the 96 Z over the last week or so.
Re routed my air intake tubes and got them to fit down the factory hole into the inner fender and put the air filter down inside by the washer fluid tank, that was fun..

Cut the cat converter off, got $80 bucks for scrap price, bought a new 2 1/4 inch aftermarket for $45 bucks and 1 section of 2 1/4 pipe, installed the o2 sensor into the new pipe welded up and now just have over the axle to change to 2 1/4. sounds a little better, has a little more power and can really hear that intake whistle nice now.

My dad went to a school last week to get a scrap car and ended up with some other stuff that had been laying around the auto shop... GM donated a brand new suv last year for the students to take apart and learn, well i now have a 0 KM 3100 block to play with. no crank, but pistons are there, lifters, timing cover with water pump and the manifolds. there isnt even any carbon on the pistons i bet it only ran to come off the truck into the shop and was tore apart. havent decided to do something with it or just get a 3400 to put in the Z over the winter.

I washed it and made it look like an old man's truck for when it sells. Removed the cowl hood, added the topper, installed the brush guard again, and installed different tires on another set of OEM wheels.

Nice grab Kurt! I just dropped my neon brackets off at the machine shop last thurs. Is the setup you got coming with the e-brake cables? The neon has a far superior parking brake cable setup.

are the 04 SRT brackets the same? I don't remember them being the same as what I got but I could be wrong on how long the brackets were alike.

I just ran 12.9's this weekend that's all I did with my ride.

Bounced off my 7k rev limited multiple times too thanks to wheel spin and the trans not wanting to shift.

Well, bouncing the limiter is better than seizing the trans like I did. RIP Getrag.

Been doing it for quite a while now and the stock bearings I pulled out two years ago looked brand new... I'm sure I'll check the bearings again this year and maybe even see if I can measure any rod stretch.
