I guess it might look a little odd putting the black carpet on this.. but I have factory black 91 carpet so it should match that pretty well.
Hey, I think that two-tone looks pretty good, actually. Umm, I put a black '91 center console into my '95 Z-26, it should still be in it... I didn't have the black console lid though, unfortunately, but if worse comes to worse, some day in the very far off distant future when I actually get to see that car again, I can shoot a pic or two of it and maybe we can talk...

I got my buddy covering my center console lid with the same suede material that I got on the door panels. I forgot to mention that.. should turn out good

Got the cold air intake installed!!
It took a minute but after talking to Ryan it all worked out.
Dont mind the cheap Advanced Auto parts filter.. its left over from my Cobalt I used to have and I am only using this filter until I pick up a K&N later

I noticed I have hole in the fender well liner so I grabbed a replacement from the 96 bright red Z fender I have in the garage..
I have to pick up some of the plastic push pins or whatever then I will be installing it

I don't get on here often.. but nice to see good things still happening

. Nice build. I may have to hit you up on the 6 speed swap if I end up going that route. Not as many replacement getrag 282 parts available as I would like.. haha.

SummitBalt08, How would you compare the usability of this trans, versus something like 282?
I mean, do the gears just fly in with no effort, no miss shifts and all?

I havent drove it much except from the exhaust shop to my house to save a 40 dollar tow bill.. It wasnt running perfect yet. I will say though that the Pontiac G6 shift assembly is ALOT ALOT better than the stock 5 speed shift assembly.. no more play in the shifter and the cables a adjustable.
Hopefully after today it will be driveable and I will be able to give a full "review" on how it drives.. what the gearing is like and how it shifts while running right.
I cant wait lol

Here are a few updates from yesterday...
ZR6 decal installed on the rear bumper!
Brakes all bled and re-installed my powdercoated red Addco sway bar with a new hardware kit. Then a pic showing my exhaust and powdercoated red front sway bar.
(I guess I took the first pic before the rear sway bar was on .. oops lol)
Intake tweaked a bit with Battery re installed
Last thing for now.. I got the door panel put on with the black suede insert.. hopefully the painted parts (door handle piece and mirror piece) will be ready to install today.
