Re: January 2010 Project Begins (Raspberry)
I can make that one easy... I don't have silver vinyl, but I do have black. haha
I also have reflective white that basically looks silver until you shine light on it, but I wouldn't recommend it.

Actually if you are going to do it, (I don't think you should) the silver/white is probably the way to go!
That is basically what the GTZ is.

Those will be a bitch! The letters are so tiny it would be damn near impossible to weed. I'm sure thats why the factory GTZ decals are screen printed on a clear backer.asylum wrote:OFF TOPIC!

I tried like 5 times to make a "OBJECTS IN MIRROR ARE MUSTANGS" decal for my Camaro and couldnt weed it right. So half the letters are crooked because they pulled with the scrap vinyl.

Thats not a limitation of the vinyl, thats the lack of skill of the creator.. LOL... just cut it and send it to eric, stick it on the car then pull the scrap off around it... May work better that way.woody90gtz wrote:Those will be a bitch! The letters are so tiny it would be damn near impossible to weed. Re: January 2010 Project Begins (Raspberry)
Have you looked at how small & thin those letters are? I'd like to see anyone do it. Especially Eric, I could just imagine! haha I can try, but I'm 99.9999% sure it will fail miserably. The mirror stickers I tried before were a lot bolder, and therefore a lot easier to weed than the 2.3 DOHC ones will be.
Jon, I also thought about a small plastic emblem for the 3X00, like the 3400 SFI I made in yellow/black for you a few years ago. I could do it in brushed aluminum/black like the ones I gave to Ixion. So it would be silver with a black outline like the Chevrolet on the opposite end of the bumper.

Make up a set... I'm almost thinking of putting either the 3X00 vinyl, or these that you speak of, on the back end of the z04 gfx right before the rear tire... I'm not sure though.woody90gtz wrote:Jon, I also thought about a small plastic emblem for the 3X00, like the 3400 SFI I made in yellow/black for you a few years ago. Get me what you can and I'll see what looks good once the car is movable again.

Re: January 2010 Project Begins (Raspberry)
Just make me up a whole sheet of the damn things on the best quality material you can find, and I'll manage to sort it out somehow with my three left thumbs!
Total width is 6 1/2", and it appears the letters are about 1/4 to 3/8" high.
Just let me know what I owe ya.
NOW let's get back on topic and the Rooster Dink Pink Project thingy!

Yeah, I'm working on the trans right now... I haven't had much free time with the beginning of the race season and all, but I'm trying to get it done.

Been there, done that and removed it after a couple months. Even when I was 17 it got old quick. haha3X00-Modified wrote:Make up a set... The rear bumper looks naked without something. The gfx look ricey with something. Stick to the bumper... IMHO
I'll give it a shot, but I am telling you from experience you will be much better off with the correct GM decal.asylum wrote:Just make me up a whole sheet of the damn things on the best quality material you can find, and I'll manage to sort it out somehow with my three left thumbs!
