Re: BerettaFest 2010 Diary
I want to clarify one thing on the 50shot that Brad is spraying... he did it right and visited a dyno and he is actually getting a 50hp gain to the wheels... I know on a stock motor my "100" shot that I'm still running only added 60whp to the car, so he is probably running what I had in there for a 75 shot...KFLO 93 GT wrote:On the Drag Racing thing, Devin ran Pat's car to it's best time which I thought was 13.8. I'm not sure though.
Brad with the Ghost Flamed GTZ ran a 13.6 also, whilst only spraying a 50 shot. That's just downright nasty for a Q4.
My car is going to get some changes that should help a lot. The Baers are coming off and a bit of work is going into the front suspension. It made it home fine while throwing intermittent SES lights at cruising speed. It did seem to have some sort of a lack of power at times, but it also has a gigantic exhaust leak. Before I add any more power to the car I'd like to get it down to a 14.6 or 7.
I think its time I do the right thing and visit a dyno to get the shot right so when I say I'm spraying a 75 then that means 75 to the wheels... I hate saying a 100 shot when really I know that's not getting to the ground.
He also said he had some ignition issues with it popping and such, something I guess he's been chasing for a while.
Yikes... Damn that hurt in the AM...quad4berettagtz wrote:...and to correct you Jon it was 5:30 bedtime today... I remember looking at the clock.
Didn't mean to ditch everyone but I had to run at 9:00

Devon ran a 13.6 in Pat's car, not a 13.8, with a 2.22 60'. He spun just a bit much.
Brad ran a 14.00 last fall NA, right click, save as.

You can expect better times in the future.

Re: BerettaFest 2010 Diary
I can't believe that there were a couple of shots from people who were not there that "it looks like a small turnout"!
This was the biggest one in years.
Jeeesh!

Re: BerettaFest 2010 Diary
I agree Eric, but no reason to call out name.

Re: BerettaFest 2010 Diary
I made it home mid-day Monday, but did not have the time or energy to post up my pics and stories until last night (BStuff) and today on here. Thank you for the kind words Eric, but I was just doing what felt right. I just love to cook and doing for all of you at the picnic was great! Minus the heat over that grill! Will and I had to keep moving from one side of the grill to the other depending on which way the wind pushed the heat. There were times that we could barely even get our hands near the grill to flip stuff or add cheese!
My pictures and stories are being added slowly to a thread on here for your enjoyment!

Re: BerettaFest 2010 Diary
This was my first Bfest.. even though I've owned a Beretta since Jan 2003. I wish I would have made it out to a meet sooner, and I really mean that. Good times had by all.. even though I could not bring my car, it was still worth every second. What a great bunch of guys (and girls), devoted to a fantastic car.

That's what happens when I get to play with fire. as soon as the coals were piled high and smoking, cooking was good to go!

Re: BerettaFest 2010 Diary
I don't think he ran a 14 flat n/a at this event... But yes if you saw his tires I think you would understand the time. They are like 20" dia tires.... they are so small.
