Those would be the Plus 4's I made reference to earlier. They suck ass imho. Just a gimmick to sell a plug when you're better off with a Platinum or Iridium that provides real results.

I used to run Bosch +4's back in the day, but as said it's really unnecessary... It's amazing when you get up into the big world of racing engines circle track and drag stuff they use such basic plugs... none of these gimmicks.

I didn't buy it for a gimmick. I bought it based on its price point. It was at that time the cheapest iridium plug for the application. Works perfectly and its not for a racing application.. HA So I guess it didn't matter.

Ah well.

Yep.. I just run standard acdelco plugs. The MSD box likes them just fine ;).

installed some new NGK platinums a couple weekends ago, as well as cleaned my throttle body... both that and the spark plugs looked untouched for 100 kkm or so... wow. maybe i'll get better mileage now!! i installed a Spectre performance in-box air filter and a new pcv valve as well. i would like to do plug wires, but dont have too much money to play with and they look decent, and car runs perfectly smooth... i do have spares from a 3400 as well, they are newer, but more km on them if they are original anyways...

wow lots of deposits... thats probably due to the amount of oil it looks like you consume... Might want to do a quick compression check to see if you have bad ring seal causing blow by and increasing the amount of vapor ingested by the motor through the front valve cover breather hose, and the PCV change might also help that if it was stuck open.

it does consume a little, and leaks a little, manly the front valve cover... i dont think i can sneak it by the coolant pipe, so i havent wanted to do it until i have fresh coolant, might as well flush the system at that time.

No I mean cylinder compression check, not cooling system compression check. A cylinder check will tell you if oil is getting passed the rings or not.

i just meant that i need to do the front valve cover, to help with some leaking oil... but i dont feel like undoing the small coolant pipe that almost rests on it (with the bleeder valve). in any case i have a compression gauge i'll play with maybe on the weekend.
