Here, That hole and the back one are the two that position that mount, there is hardly any slop so it can't move a lot at all. Definately not enough to change TPS wiring.
This is a simple fix thats being overlooked and is near impossible to point out to someone through a computer screen.

That's true, that slotted bolt doesn't move...I hadn't thought of that. But the engine does move with the upper 5spd T-bracket that bolts to the mount.

Correct if you change that T-bracket then yes the motor moves, but he didn't do that.

My car has all kinds of crap done to it and my wires work fine. Like others said find out why the wires won't reach it seems simple

I hear you 3X00. I just want to be sure that you know that I had the harness in the area that you have shown and it's still short. I'll get to play around with it this weekend.
The T mount was taken off so I could get the PS pump out of the way. Remember that I did do the lower intake gaskets( second time in two years) . The support that I used failed and the engine fell back toward the firewall. Damn hard to get it back to put the bolts in the T. Its a bit strange, but I have had that bolt in the center before when I got it back from a shop. I brought the mount up just incase it was worth anything.
Barry I don't know why I even try anything, nothing ever goes right. A nut inside the battery stripped out and I had to get a new battery. Then a valve cover bolt stripped and had to break my valve cover(I have the metal ones on now). You know the others. When it came to the wires and the coolant by-pass popping I just freaked out.
Work had me stressed and all this didn't help. Now the car is inside and the Cavy is doing the DD work.
1988GTU I'll get some photos up this weekend.
