Yes you can. And by the way your going to need a 3100 TB shaft so you can reuse your throttle linkage.

Well if you didn't read the PDF you need to tap the coolant by-pass hole near the Tstat(if you want to use your old by-pass tube). Or you can get a push in tube off another car, just remember to get the bracket that holds the tube. It can pop out if you dont.
So what are you going to do now?

yikes... Last time I had to help someone with their car after a Shop install of a 3400 it was a nightmare... Hopefully they understand what needs to be done and they can at least solve problems and not hack it in.

I got my car back yesterday! Silly me i thought i was gonna get the full 3400 but instead i just got the block instead  so i got a 3400 block with a 3100 intake  ...but ill eventually get a 3400 intake installed sooner or later. but for now im happy i got a brand new block and my car is running.

The car is running pretty good, the only thing that preventing to be running more efficently is I think i gotta replace the 02 sensor cause the motor seems a little jumpy at times (nothing serious)...My preivous mechainic that scanned my car said it had a bad (o2 sensor and EGR valve) I replaced the EGR and not the o2 sensor only because he had a rough time removing it.

About >100miles into driving my car with the new block and then engine light appeared up again..so imma have him scan it again to see if its the 02 sesnor again?

Suggestions are more than welcomed...i have pictures that i will post up soon...thank you

Keep in mind that a 2000 3100 intakes are the same size as the 3400's. The only thing I have seen between the two is that the 3100 BP's have better casting(for the upper, not sure on the lower).
I don't know what's going on there, the O2 is easy to get to. All you need is a socket with a slot in the side for the pig tail.
What exhaust manifolds are you using?

I can guarantee you he has stock manifolds on there... someone else did the install.

Also depending on the year the 3100 and 3400 heads were the same, If he used your stock 3100 heads lower intake and upper intake I hate to say it but you got ripped off. And if he used your small port 3100 intakes on a short block (which is block and heads setup) then your choking the engine.

Also if you got a O2 code, ignored it and continued to drive and you are still doing that today then someone needs to hit you over the head with a tack hammer.... The O2 is one of the engine main motoring devices and with that failed you are risking your engine every time you drive it depending on how it's failed.

The motor came with everything besides the intake's and an oil pan..I had to go to a shop that heats up the O2 sensor cause it was stuck that bad..

Now that i replaced the 02 sensor, the car is running better but it still has a miss?? The motor jumps a little while idling..when the code came up again...it showing the throttle position sensor and the egr valve (which i already replaced? not even 2months ago)

i was also wondering if i could still install a upper 3400 intake with a stock 3100 intake..i remember one of you guys bringing it up. but i think you would need both intake.

Yes you need both. The big ports are just that, much bigger than your 3100 ports.
The lower part is the same, that is why they are a bolt on.
So did you clean the EGR port out before you put the new one on?

I assuming that my previous mechanic didnt..when i had the intake manifold gasket replaced a while back he put back the egr valve on again his dumbass used a silicon gasket!...i wasnt further noticed until my last mechanic told me months later.

so now at this point when i got my 02 sensor replaced the shop told me when he scanned my car he said the "Throttle Position Sensor" came up
