(Kyle Anderson @ Mar. 23 2008,12:40)QUOTEI prefer bstuff because there are substantially more people. I can ask a question on there and get a few useful answers in a matter of an hour. I'll admit, you do have to sift through a lot of ****, but the good stuff is there. I just don't see that kind of response time on here... you'll wait a day for *maybe* one single answer, and it might not even be useful. What I don't miss are the people that DO get away with ANYTHING (some of them are still on here though...). If there was a real member count on here I wouldn't have a problem switching over.
I definately have to agree with you on that. If the amount of "active" members on this board would go up then I would consider switching. I am on both sites for reason. There is a reason people are on Bstuff. Mostly because of the amount of active members. The BS is funny sometime but there are definatley a bunch of people who bring NOTHING to that board except for usless crap.

I've offered before and my offer is still on the table.

I have no problem running the message board.  Updating the website and message board would probably be too much for one person alone.

We need mods and admin who are actually around and active posters.

We need a visual update (lets face it, this site is ugly as hell).

And we need to get more informative tech articles posted up here again like we used to have.

Then we might see things turn around a little bit.

There's lots of little addons for ikonboard that would make this forum quite interesting if someone just took the time to update everything and set things up.  The potential is there, but neglect is winning the battle.

I've asked for access to change some things and didnt get too far.  I dont see much change anytime soon for bnet.

I've noticed part of the main reason that bs is/was getting all the attention lately is due to the current on going motor/trans swaps, power adder threads.  If those who posted over there started there "mod/update" thread over here, we might just see a change in the amount of member activity.

If Im bored one day I'll redo my thread over here.

Geoff started his brake thread over here already I do believe.  Jon started his swap thread.  Lucky has his going.  So it's a start.

I am not hooked on bstuff, I also have my pther car club website that I spend time on where they don't put up with any drama or crap, u start stuff u get warned and then banned. In a way I would not mind seeing bstuff stay up thats  where I have all my pictures posted and also pics of past owned cars. I do plan on getting updated pictures and stuff of the cayenne Z26 its just a matter of getting it washed and detailed up alot better.
Yes I agree there are some people that need to get a life like the ones that start crap, post useless stuff and need to clean up their act on bstuff.

I guess I was wrong. It's not hosted on Angel's servers. He tried to buy it off Mike before, and offered to host it on one of his dedicated servers for free, but it was a no-go. I guess it's on a shared server, which is likely why it keeps going down; between bandwidth issues, being a busy forum, etc.
