Re: 1996 Mr.Pink
It surprises me that people think I own a tempest...... WTF!? Really, of all the cars they remember the tempest and not the dam beretta?!

Re: 1996 Mr.Pink
I finally ripped out the interior again and started running all the wires for the stereo system... I figured if I'm going to lug those amps around on the back of the seat I might as well make them do something!
It was so much easier with having all the wires pre cut to length and pretty much all laid out... Just had to drill one hole in the trunk for the power wire and I ran that down the driver side under the car, rather than trying to drill a hole in the firewall with all the crap in the way.
All thats left is plug in the RCA cables on the HU and run a remote turn on wire, with my trunk popper wire as well... and it should all be good. Also swapped out the RCA and Poineer speakers for the Boston Acoustics ones I had in the red car.
I'm debating leaving the boom boom box at home when going to MI though since it does take up quite a bit of space... Simply having the speakers amplified will make a huge difference anyways.

Still not sure myself if i want to re-install my sub box or not.It doesn't take up much room but it's a ton of weight.Cool glad to hear the car is coming along.

Re: 1996 Mr.Pink
I would pull the box anytime I'm running at the strip so really on the street and around town the box weight is irrelevant...
Still need to swap brakes over for Bfest, and also I might swap over the Grant steering wheel from the red car... not sure yet. and if I actually get enough time off from the race car maybe I'll build up a set of Euro tails to go on it as well.

Euro's for the win!! lol
crap, I need to get back after fixing the lighting mods for the Z. Good luck though man. Oh, and I still am willing to set you up with a custom smaller box!! lol All it needs is a dual voice coil speaker and you would be rockin! Wouldn't be an ass pounder, but it sure beats stock sound.

Re: 1996 Mr.Pink
If I decide to go with a smaller box I have no problems making it myself... that's not the issue... Yesterday was the first time I touched my garage since I installed my transmission... I was picking up clutch packs and housings from my bench... it's more of a time thing that I just haven't had to get anything done.
I at least don't currently have any running issues to worry about... so that makes things a bit easier, its just interior and cosmetic that I need to work on.

System is done and up and running... I forgot how obnoxious that can be.... LOL
Just need to re-install rear seat and panels and then front seats. Swap out brakes and then it should be good for a trip to upstate NY to show up Woody's Beretta sitting on wheel dolly's. HAHAHAHA

Sounds like if I ever get any bass in my cars it will be shocking. LOL 3X00 your getting old.
Hey did you use spring isolators on the rear of your car? I don't want to mess up the coating on my new springs.

I'm not getting old I just forgot how loud that system is when all combined together... its been over 2 years that I haven't heard it.
As far as my rear springs I used all of the stock parts, the bottom of the rear spring has a sleeve over it and the top goes into a isolator/bump stop... Same goes for the front, all stock isolator parts... nothing special.

Damn it. If I don't work on my car for a long time the mind goes back to the 90.
I repalced the bump stops on my rears from JY parts. Sure could use some new sleeves for the lowers. Did you find any?

Re: 1996 Mr.Pink
Energy suspension sells a tube that is 3/4" ID that slides on a spring coil... 9.6112 PN... Not sure if it will fit our springs though.
