Pics would be huge! How are the carpet stays and other plastic trim? Door panels? Power windows? If you have found me a whole black interior in good shape you will be my hero man! I thought that would be next to impossible to find!

Np man, trust me patience is a virtue learned on the boards, lol. I will be appreciative of the pics and I completely understand not driving the 'retta in the snow. Please don't! We've had a few members wreck their cars that way this year.

For sure Styluss. If this black one is in good shape I may go that route. But it sounds like it's not. Oh, and I got your email. That , my friend, is a MUCH better price. Thank you. Will email, PM, or call you. You still have my number ,right? Holler at me.

Ok, so I did a little work today on the GT. Got myself some 120 grit sandpaper ,a sanding block, some masking tape and a couple rattle cans of grey primer. Taped off all the windows and started sanding and priming the roof to get rid of that god awful rust! I have plenty of work to do yet, but I'm just going to prime the roof again, spot prime the rest of it, and then get started doing complete individual pieces. Also going to pick up some fiberglass and bondo and finish off the lower filler panel piece and the front fender flares to get this car looking whole again! Will probably tackle the passenger fender tomorrow as well. I will post some pics tomorrow evening.
I was thinking while most of the interior including the rear deck is missing, this would be the best time to get the window tinting out of the way. With the rear deck removed, that rear window should be less of a bugger! Then I'll be pulling the carpet and seats and sealing her up with some sealant to prevent that oh so famous Beretta water leak! Ordering a brand new carpet off of Ebay for her, going to get the GTZ seats reupholstered, and I will start dying/repainting my interior components I have and the others as I get them. It's time to get rolling on this old girl.
Oh, I also have a slight clunk when going into reverse or drive. Thinking it's a busted or bad tranny mount or rear engine mount as I can also see the whole motor shift a bit when it happens. Any ideas?
Ok , well till tomorrow then....

So....the wind kicked up like a ******* today keeping me from doing much sanding or priming, so I went and scavenged some more parts at the bone yard. Looks like I should be quite the body and paint man by the time this car is done. Between sanding, priming, painting and clearcoating the body and painting/dying interior parts, lol! Oh,well, such is the life of the do-it-yourselfer! I picked up an overhead console, a windshield wiper switch, a new/used shifter assembly as the extra that was included with the car was either for a later model Beretta with a different trans or just wrong period. Didn't look the same or fit the shifter cables the same, but bolted up. Just wouldn't go any further forward than reverse. So I got the one outta the '88 White GT at the yard. Also picked up some nice door handle trims. That one is grey too, just covered with brown dust/dirt. Oh, and got an ashtray compartment and a dashboard "Beretta GT" emblem. Think I'm going to maybe buy what's left of that GT after all. Got a lot more parts than I thought I could use. And the tails are mint in it, but I can't get them out because they don't have the key to the trunk. No battery for the trunk popper. Figured I could bring it home and use one of my batteries or some other way. Just too many good panels, etc to waste on that car and the JY owner crushed all his Berettas last week except that white GT and another. PISSED ME OFF!! Anyhow, today's proceeds. Waiting for the wind to die down a bit so I can get back to work on the body.
Oh, and I pulled the headlights outta the GT , just in case he gets crush happy again.

I think I may have most of my interior parts lined out except for the Door Panels and an '87-'90 dash. I don't like the condition of the one in the car. I DO have a 91+ dash in pretty much perfect condition repainted black and white to trade or sell with all the required wiring included for an '87-'90 dash in good shape. I was going to go newer ,but I actually prefer the squared off look of the older dashes. I will still need some small pieces here and there other than what's mentioned above.

Ok, so the wind was more cooperative today and I got SOME work done before the rain sprinkles began. Here's what I've got so far. Keeping in mind I have TONS of sanding left to do, just roughing things over for now. I also went and eyeballed a 10x10 foot ,completely walled on all 4 sides, canopy at Walmart for $40! I will buy it I think and anchor the poles in the concrete of my driveway pad. A kind of temp fix until I get my garage put up. This way I can be out of the wind and dust and be able to paint. Anyhow, here's what I got so far. Keep in mind that fender was raw fiberglass yesterday. And remember all that damn rust on the roof? And yes I intend to remove the tails again before I get back that far to avoid painting them, lol. And I don't care about overspray on the wheels and tires as the tires are all weatherchecked and shot anyhow, and the rims will be replaced. BTW anyone have any idea what those rims might have come off of?

I dunno, I think they look aftermarket, but with a little SAAB style, in my opinion, lose those wheels... FAST!  Looks like it's coming along good, GL with smoothing out all that fiberglass, I don't have the patience for that much of the stuff.

Yea, already have my eye on a set of ADR's on CL with tires. 18's. Gonna grab 'em I think and put 'em aside until the car is ready. Leave these crap looking rims until I'm ready. Unless someone wants them.... The Indy isn't mine, just one of the cleanest and best looking I've seen in a long time. Thought it would look really good in my sig, and maybe, just maybe, in my driveway if I can con the owner out of it.   Probably not much chance of that though.
