Re: The Derretta, 1994 base with some attitude.
Picked up a new radiator fan, a tad more slim than the Torqflo, but almost 1000 more CFM's.

I also broke out my heat gun and reinstalled the solarwing!

I like those Solar Wings... I think they look good on some cars, maybe even especially on the Berettas. Nice job!
(I still need one, or six, of those myself...

Hey, they do still make them man! They look somewhat updated from the original ones though.Rettax3 wrote:I like those Solar Wings... I think they look good on some cars, maybe even especially on the Berettas. Nice job!

I had the car almost ready to go, and accidentally put a hole in the radiator. No worries though. Going with a '93 radiator since they're set up the same for the radiator hoses, and are slightly wider. Hell, they're even cheaper too. I'd been considering replacing it for a few years anyways. Gave me a chance to paint under it to match the rest of the engine bay as well.

Re: The Derretta, 1994 base with some attitude.
Finally got my wider '93 radiator installed today. Trans cooler adapters are on opposite sides, but that doesn't natter since I run an aftermarket cooler. Been wanting to replace the radiator, even though it was a happy accident...

I did finally head over and meet up with Tyler again, I wanted to see the Feretta before he moves out to North Carolina to be with his daughter. It was nice catching up again as well!

Took out a rabbit with the front lip, installed new thermoplastic center link bushings, and finally wired up and installed my euro tails!

Wow, those tails look NICE. Did you get them in that condition, or did you refinish them somehow? I am assuming the rabbit wasn't a VW Rabbit...

I'm not really good at tuning yet, but I did at least get the injectors set right, lol. The old engine had ring issues and ran rich too, that dang bumper is stained now haha.
Shawn actually pulled these off of the ZR6 when he got matching taillights, and he sold me these for a steal a few years back. Didn't have to do anything but rewire them and install the HD flasher!
And it was DEFINITELY not a VW, bahaha...
