Are those things really that quick?

I understand what a turbo can do.

I was there when Rodney ran 122 mph with his 3500 5-speed, but I was not aware of the power available in those cars off the showroom floor.

That is pretty impressive. 4 doors and all!

Its sad that you can buy so many cars right off the showroom floor that will put a whooping on our cars.

Turbos are so much fun

Not just turbos though either. Lots of guys are running 12s with LS3 Camaros bone stock.

Pisses me off I've dumped so much money in mine and still have yet to get that 12-sec slip.

It is Barry. They beefed up 1st, 2nd, and I believe 3rd compared to the WRX tranny issues.

Spec B 6spd is the way to go... bulletproof... but I'd doubt that either Jon's or my 5spd will take a dump that quickly.

Yeah hopefully they fixed those trans issues.

My buddy chirps second and third in his 04 sti and its holding up well. Over 120k miles and hes running I think 24psi with intake and exhaust. Its nasty. Thats a 6-speed tho.

His best cobb 1/4th is 13.00 but on a track I think he will pull a 12.

Subaru made a hell of a car over the last few years.

Yes Eric this car is quite quick... I have yet to do anything to it and I'm still quite impressed with what it can do.

Is Subaru coolant REALLY that necessary? My closest dealer is 30min away.

And as noted I'm actually trying to get my AVT-841 DHP unit to work with tuning this... The unit supports CAN protocol and that's what my car is... Sorry Gerff... You are K-line and apparently you use a supported protocol to scan, but a non supported one to flash... and I'm still trying to figure out how to get the unit to change to CAN mode.

Oh well... I can always go open source if I decide to go that route. Just need a tactrix cable and a working laptop!

You don't HAVE to use the Subaru coolant... I just like the pretty colors lol

Well I'm hoping to use open source as well, just with a unit I already own... ;)

A few on LGT say Peak Global is the same as Subaru coolant, AND that the additive is simply Subaru's version of stop leak.

woody90gtz wrote:Does the LGT has Brembos or regular Legacy brakes like Tiffany's? It almost looks like 18s in that pic you posted, but I could be wrong.
edit: Nvm I just took another look and you have the same setup as her. Must be the spec B's that have Brembos.
Edit on a previous post.... Its not the same setup as her... I just looked it up and the LGT Limited has 12.3" vented fronts and 11.3" vented rears... Hell these brakes are bigger than the ones that will be on the pink car.

Full spec sheet I found.

Yeah, there fun.

We just got done putting a low mile J-spec motor in Devons WRX wagon.
It has 4" SS downpipe, 3" SS twinZperformance DP back exhaust, tune with a 5000 RPM 2 step, raised boost, 550cc Injectors, silencer delete, eibachs, 17" low weight wheeels, STB's front and rear, grimspeed up-pipe, upgraded turbo, and a recently expired front dif =@ with soon to be installed 4.10 gear ratio front and rear difs. He wheel-hopped after the start line at the drag strip after doing a 4 wheel burnout from the staging lane to there. The two-step is fun!!!! :Yahoo!:

Oh, pretty cheap way to make 300+ hp too. He dyno'd at 250 IIRC to the wheels. 2.0L motor.

Those 2.0's put out some pretty good power... the 2.5's have a little more torque, but the 2.0's are nice too.
