after i did a dumb move by trading my 96 black rose metallic beretta with a brand new 12k mile 3400 from jasper along with a under 30k mile transmission for a 90 eclipse gsx that blew up on me, while driving it home. yea i got the sh** end of the stick well. I sold the blown transmission gsx for 1300 and bought a 96 z26. Clean as can be it does have a dent in the front fender and a very little rocker rust, that will all be fix shortly. But the car has 171k miles on it everything looks new. minus the motor i was told it has a new motor in it with 100k on it but it has a lot of top end noise. currently awaiting a 3500 swap will most likely be in by early april due to a current set back. heres a few pictures of it, also with a new fitting for the heater tube and some other minor repairs and upgrades.

some more pics.....
im looking for some parts, 3500 swap parts is a big deal, maybe some z26 centers caps, maybe some kick panels in grey or black, also i need some door plastic moldings (they hold in the kick panels held on by 4 screws grey in color)
Ill post more pictures as i make progress with my car, next gonna get the seats upolstered with a red stripe, and a custom headliner nothing like barry's but im thinking a black microsuede, also gonna dye the carpeting, paint the center console black, also around the cd player paint that black also. Ill make sure to keep you guys posted as the build comes along, itll be a slow process since im saving for the 3500 swap, and a 3.69 fdr trans. automatic trans of course.

well i got a few updates for you guys...
i dont have pics of my multec 2 connectors just yet, thats not really a big deal...but once the motor comes out got some cleaning up in the engine bay and than soldering the multec clips on, extending my ect sensor, and than painting my motor and trans, and than welding up my exhaust, and ill hopefully have my 3500 swap done before bfest. im hoping for a mid 14 with this setup, i just hope that fuel wont be my problem. i dont know if i should go to larger injectors or not.

You should run no smaller than the 2000+ 3400 injectors. Those are 22lb ones and should be ok. They can be increased by bumping up your fuel pressure too if that is 100% necessary and you see IDC's of over 90%

Heres an update for everyone, I bought the car with no radio or speakers didnt know untill I started taking things apart. Well I also found out that the previous owner cut the radio harness so I had to run wires to each speaker did that today. That was a fun job, good thing though even after 171,000 miles no bolts were rusted when I took everything minus the wheel, dash and cluster out. Tomorrow gonna clean the carpet really good, hoping it comes out good, or ill be dying the carpet black.

Why not just fix the harness where it was cut?

They cut the harness only leaving the orange, yellow, brown and black wire and than yanked out the reat of the wires going to each speaker. I tried tracking it down from the 6x9s to the harness but I could find amy wires. Even from the kick pamels I got no wires going to the harness.
Would be willing to do that lx5 bracket for me? ill pay you.

Yes, we have an LX5 TB on it. Your going to put that TB on your 3100? I thought it was for the 3500.

currently building a gauge pod on the cluster surround, thinking about getting a aeroforce interceptor scan gauge, a phantom air fuel (narrowband for now) and the 3rd hole will be a shift light. hopefully if the motor is healthy ill be spinning the stock motor to around 63-6400 rpm. obviously only going to be shifting it at the track only. ill be on stock trans for this with stock stall and winter time is when the trans and the car itself go under the knife. car is going all black. i must warn everyone it will not be pretty this year lol.
im just hoping jon will work some magic on the tune this year im wanting to run a mid 14 on stock trans, get over 25mpg highway, and drive perfect. thats my goal this year next year is a bit different.

That's my adapter that I donated to her engine swap lol =). I miss that thing. I need to order a new one so I can finally use my LX5 tb. Thanks for reminding me.
Good luck meeting your goal by the way! The Z looks nice =). Everyone is tempting me to go OBDII again. I dunno if I can justify it with all of my rust.
