Any tricks. I have most all the interior out but that.

The rear bolts are under the piece of carpet at the bottom of the compartment - Other than that it is straight forward.

OK they are out, it is not just LIFTING out. Are there brackets or anything holding it down elsewhere? Do I bee to take off the shift handle?

Yeah the area under the shifter panel has more bolts, pics of where you are at in its de-assembly we could help be more specific.

Sounds like its the same way as mine. Two bolts in the rear storage well and two bolts in the front under the shifter plate. You have to remove the shifter handle and the just pop the plate up and out. Have to disconnect the wiring for any lights, cig, etc too.

There should be 6 bolts. Two at the very front, two at the middle under the shift plate, and two at the back in the compartment under the carpet (if any).

You don't need to remove the entire shifter handle, but you'll need to remove the shifter knob. If it is an auto, there is a 'staple' that can be removed from the front of the knob and it will slide up and off. Mnauals have a set screw in the fron - loosen and pull up and off. To be more specific, you need to remove the ash tray; there are two screws there. Remove the ash tray assembly and there are two more under the cover. The shifter plate will come off at this point. And there are two in the storage compartment at the rear of the console.

Yeah, forgot about those two bolts. LOL
