Transaxle Problems
When was the last time the car moved forward? The trans could just be plain messed up I know in my cougar I had drive gears, no reverse. It fried the shift solenoid on it and by the time the person stopped driving it, it really burnt the bands and clutches in it. Just my .02

He said they hug the corners? Yeah they do but I thought the point of drifting was to slide/wheel spin/control...maybe I'm wrong? But I don't think I am... Lol berettas handle nice..but there are plently nicer, I don't think he knows the diff of grip and slip just my .02

Going from a 2.0 to a 3.1 must feel like a million hp to him. Lol personally I don't think my beretta will ever be fast ( not what I bought it for.) I'm not a beretta guru but since you said it was sitting, running rich/smelling bad the o2 could be very possible in my opinion also a dirty air sensor could be it. I also didn't think it was computer controlled but berettastuff.com says that it deals with the trans...
