1990 Beretta GTZ H/O - Tom's Garnet GTZ
1990 Beretta GTZ H/O - Tom's Garnet GTZ
Here is the 3rd Beretta I have owned, this one I am keeping, period! It is currently back under the knife for a 3rd major repair, I will keep you updated. As of now I'm making this thread my go to thread for my GTZ project as it progresses forward. I have huge plans for this car. It was originally purchased from its 2nd owner, who has purchased it from someone who kept it in a garage the first 15 years of its life. The second owner wasn't as nice to it, but luckily he wasn't beating on it either. I saw this car and instantly had to have it, since my old tired 90' Indy was on its way out.
I plan on a w40 to w41 conversion, a full engine detail/custom paint once the desired components are on. I do plan on:
- custom burnt chip
- new exhaust (going to need soon)
- w41 components (cams and the like)
- ceramic coated headers
- better oil cooler (old one looks bad)
- new floor mats (sad I know I don't have them)
- new stereo receiver (speakers are already bought, just need to sort one wiring issue)
- new clutch, old one is soft, especially in 1st gear
I will now let you see the pictures I promised you for almost a month now (lol sorry for the wait).. They were taken last week. Well, here she is:

Looks really in good condition. I like the fact that the original GTZ rims in red are on that car ...

Car looks REALLY GOOD! Whats up with that strut tower bar? It looks different. I like the fact you still have the factory radio with no tape deck, and no power windows. Oddly optioned car?

I believe when the 1st owner purchased the car new, he had a bunch of stuff put into it including that strut bar. It seems normal to me outside of that

The factory GM bar used on Cavi's that fits our's would hit his firewall protectors So that may be a custom bar made to clear that.

That is a one of a kind STB for sure. The car is almost mint, less a few paint chips.

That is my favorite color for a GTZ. Quasar comes in at #2, but it's close.

REBUILD WHAT YOU HAVE FOR THE 100th TIME. You haven't even taken it apart yet to see whats salvageable... Either do that or look on car-part for an engine and have it shipped to you.

Things to do:
Have head pressure tested, no cracks? Cryo treat that mofo. As well as the valves and cams since its usually a flat price. Then?
STOP STEALING MY CAR! SERIOUSLY!!! Yours is only the 4th Manual window GTZ I've ever seen, and the only other Garnet one!
