Im New Here
Hi im new here but lets get to the point. I have 2 Berettas, one that i use as a daily driver and one that needs an engine. I bought my '88 beretta (red) off of my parents for $128 2 years ago since the head blowed and its been sitting since then, and i just recently bought '93 GTZ (white) from craigslist for $1200 back in september 2012. The car has been good to me and i noticed that the previos owners werent as nice to it as they shouldve been. When i got home with the car and was able to inspect it further i noticed that the trunk was completely rusted through where the spare tire use to be, and the drivers floor gets soaked in the rain. The car has 227k on the body, but it has the 3.1 v6 engine (180k) in it and it goes strong, its a nice first car. I want to attempt a restoration of the vehicle but i want to know the opinions of some other people that know more about the car. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

If you have found that much rust I suggest you keep looking.
The rockers, spring pockets in the rear, firewall around the steering rack and the rest of the floor.
Sounds like a big project that may not be worth the effort.
And welcome by the way

Parts are very hard to find and it's better to start with something that has little to no rust.
keep'em flying!
