Broken Turn Signal/High beam
So, as I was driving home last night, I managed to snap the plastic rod that you use to put on your blinkers.. and high beams. How did I do this? Well, I blame the guy that cut me off in his POS Honda. There were three lanes, and I was in the right lane. My lane was merging into the middle lane because there was an underpass coming up. Well, at this point (about 200 ft from the 2-lane underpass, going about 45 mph) he was about 10 ft or so behind me (in his lane). Instead of slowing down or at least maintaining his speed, he SPED UP! After cutting me off and about 30 seconds of blowing my horn at him
, I decided I wanted to blind him.
Childish? Somewhat. Idiotic? Completely. So being as pissed as I was, I yanked on the high beams and well... the damn thing snapped on me.
Moral of the story? Road rage is bad. And never try to blind someone while experiencing road rage. It ends bad.
Now to fix it, should I just epoxy/super glue/duct tape it? (duct tape fixes everything) Or do you think it'll still be pretty weak and wont be strong enough? I don't wanna have to remove the steering wheel and all that fun stuff.

Just replace it. I have one I can send you if you want. Just unplug the cruise wire, remove the stalk and replace, re connect. Done. I don't recall you having to take apart the wheel to do this, I think it can be simply swapped out.

If you want a new one, RockAuto has a standard products one for 91.79 or an ACDelco one for 109... Pricy yes...

And as for the SES light, I don't know what's causing it!
It only comes on when I'm decelerating from 60+, then will go off once the engine is off, and wont come back on again until I go up to 60 then back down.

Re: Broken Turn Signal/High beam
Get the car scanned and it will tell you the code, but I can also tell you its the EGR causing it since I know that symptom. EGR has insufficent flow, so either the solenoid is bad, or the line is plugged between the EGR and the intake, I'd start by pulling the EGR and TB off and running a heavy pipe cleaner through the port into the intake and sucking out all the crap, see if that works first.
Re: Broken Turn Signal/High beam
Yep. Clogged EGR passage, 99 percent bet. I found it easy to just drop the throttle body, pull the ERG and do what Jon says, vacuum and ream out with a pipe cleaner. Be sure to clean the EGR valve and bowl well too.
Hell Pete, I should have asked for more! LOL

LOL Ace you should have done your research!
I looked it up after you gave me the price because I was just curious
I can just use regular TB cleaner through it, right? Maybe I'll get to that this weekend

You can use TB cleaner yes but you need some type of device to break up the gunk... the liquid alone will not remove it.

Pipe cleaner? Or would I need a wire wheel/something more abrasive?

Re: Broken Turn Signal/High beam
It's a tube that you are getting the gunk out of so thats why we recommended some sort of tough pipe cleaner... coat hangers work to break it up as well.
Re: Broken Turn Signal/High beam
Just use a basic 1/2 inch diameter wire bristled pipe cleaner. May even have to use a smaller one if that is too tight. Use cleaner with it, if you want. But be sure to vacuum the debris. As I said, removing the throttle body off the intake will allow you easy access to the inside of the plenum, to make sure you get the crap out so t doesn't get sucked into the engine later.
