Wiring Questions
Well as some of you know I had done a swap from an 89 GTU to an 88 GTU. I also swapped out the wiring harnesses as well but I have a few wires left over.
The 88 had 2 wires running down the passenger side from the main plug and the 89 has 4. Also the one plug that goes into your wiper motor. On the 89 it was a 6 wire setup and the 88 its a 4 wire. My question to anyone that might be able to help is what are these extra wires for? The extra wires and blue and red where they would connect to something.
Everything seems to operate properly now that I've cut and spliced wires to color match. However I still have them extra ones and would really like to know what they are to. If anyone has a wiring diagram or knows where I can find one it would be most helpful.

Wiring Questions
I would think the wipers on the 89 had delays where as the 88 didn't..? Although, all GTU's should have had wiper delays, power windows, power locks.
All the 88GTU's I seen came with delays.

If this helps, the 1987-88 had the washer motor within the wiper gearbox, but starting in 1989 the washer motor was built into the washer fluid reservoir.

Wiring Questions
Yeah, Paul got it. The wires for the 1989 washer fluid pump are red and blue. So...what did you swap out? Just the wiper motor? The entire engine bay harness? I'm guessing I missed an earlier post.

Wiring Questions
Entire engine bay harness ... guess that would make sense then about the pump being in the bottle. Becuase the red and blue both come out of the main harness only one end was plugged into that 6 prong plug going into the wiper motor. Thanks for the help guys
