For those wanting to powdercoat or e-coat parts
For those wanting to powdercoat or e-coat parts
http://www.proplating.com/
I had mentioned these guys in another thread recently and figured I'd share some info. This company is located in Brillion WI and they do excellent work. Two weeks ago I brought them a set of K-frames, a Z51 bar, and quite a few miscellaneous pieces. The k-frames were pretty rough and I hadn't even cleaned them. Most of the rest of the other parts had already been blasted or at least cleaned. I spoke with Larry and he suggested that for the k-frames they would blast off the loose scale, then acid dip them, wash them, blast them again, wash them and then E-coat them. The rest of the parts would get a good cleaning and be powdercoated.
Well, I picked them up today and I am VERY pleased with the work! The E-coat got both the outside and inside of the k-frames looking awesome and the powdercoated parts are flawless. I would highly suggest these guys for anyone looking to save their k-frames. The price they charged ended up being $80 per side which I think is more than fair considering the work they put into them.
The gentleman I worked with was Larry Dietz. His email is larry.dietz@proplating.com

Re: For those wanting to powdercoat or e-coat parts
Paid $130 to have a quad 4 header for my Zed ceramic coated. Dealt with the same guy. Still going to wrap them, but very pleased with the results.
There are a couple local shops that do powder-coating for me, but I'll keep them in mind again if I ever want to have my parts dipped like this.

$125 for my one header, so it would be $250 for a V6.

Ignore the swaybar and cover, I haven't had them done yet.
