Tranny shifting!

Post by hotfored »

I have a 1988 beretta with 2.0L L4 with an automatic! Tranny won't go into park. Shifter does not indicate in right spot on shifter. Have to move shifter back and forth to get into reverse and drive. Can't seem to find any info on how to adjust? Help :)

There is a shitty plastic part in the shifter that the spring attaches to, which broke on me and I had a similar problem to you, might want to check that out. The newer (91+) use a metal piece, but 90 and older use plastic which seems to get brittle and breaks.
