Z26 Wheel and Locking Lug Nut Key
Z26 Wheel and Locking Lug Nut Key
I am looking for a Z26 wheel in perfect or near mint condition and a locking lug nut key. I actually have the locking lug nuts, but no key! Anyway, if anyone has either - or both - it would be a HUGE help. I want the Z26 wheel to replace the "donut" spare and if you have one available, could you please post a photo or photos. Or PM me. Thanks.

The keys are all different. You know that right?

You also realize the Z26 wheel will not fit in the spare location, right? Its called a space saver for a reason.

Ace, it fits fine, but you'd have to cut a hole in the spare tire cover and the tire would stick out about 4 inches. But diameter wise it will fit.

Re: Z26 Wheel and Locking Lug Nut Key
I'm pretty positive that I have read on here that Corsica keys will work on Beretta wheels. If what I read is wrong and every key is different, then I would need the locking lug nuts as well. As far as space for a regular spare, I can always put the spare on top of where the donut fits into. I hate those donuts and am not worried about where a full-sized tire spare will fit, since they will fit in the trunk and that's all that matters to me.Asylum wrote:The keys are all different. It's not just Corsica to Beretta. It's from Beretta to Beretta. They are specific to the car. There were something like 100 different keys if my dealership friend is to be trusted.

Re: Z26 Wheel and Locking Lug Nut Key
Thanks. I appreciate that. It sounded a little funny to me because it seemed like it would make having a locking lug nut rather pointless, but if they randomly split them out over 100 or so, that makes a bit more sense. Now let me ask what may be a really stupid question... we all know we can go to a key maker and have a duplicate key made for our car, home, boat, whatever... is there anyone that can make a "key" for the locking lug nut I have?Chad91GTZ wrote:It's not just Corsica to Beretta. Probably not. Honestly, you're easiest method would be to go to the parts store and buy a set of locking lug nuts.

The locking lug nuts were originally made by McGaurd. You may be able to contact them and get a replacement key. http://www.mcgard.com/automotive-2/wheel-locks

My Z26 actually has a label inside the trunk about ordering a new key for the locks, and what number key it is.

Re: Z26 Wheel and Locking Lug Nut Key
Thanks for the responses Rodville and Cliff... much appreciated!!! Oh, as for the Z26 wheel... since most people probably don't want to part with one, I'll buy a set of four - though I dread the shipping charges - but I understand that selling one and having only 3 remaining may not be in the seller's best interest. So... if anyone has good set of four Z26 wheels - in mint or near mint condition - please let me know. Thanks to everyone who responded in this thread!Cliff8928 wrote:My Z26 actually has a label inside the trunk about ordering a new key for the locks, and what number key it is.

If you don't mind road rash I have one on my car that I can get rid of. I got a replacement at the JY that is in better shape. The only problem is I need the tire put on the JY wheel.

My GTU has a full size spare. So much trunk space goes missing with it sticking up like that.
