Very true. Understand why I was shy to take my car that far? Just don't trust it yet. And having AC sure was nice. Mine is apart right now though so I'll have a new rack, master cyl and functional AC.

Hey it still made it. :) Probably would have been fine with the stock chain in there. Damn screw ups.

I just find it encouraging that the extended friendships can outweigh the need for the actual cars to be there.

I wonder how my rack would have been after 50hrs of driving with no heat shield...haha

And Eric I agree. It was nice to see a lot of the guys after a long hiatus. It was since '05 that I last saw Kurt!

Mine was fine, but your whole drive line is 1" closer to the rack... maybe that's why you have issues and I don't.

Our header coatings are different too. It wasn't an issue with the original flaking S&S coating, but the new coating must not hold in the heat as well.

I melted mine when I did that DYI coating on the rear header very thin... all I had before was Duplicolor paint and that worked better.... LOL

And THIS people... is the TRUE nature of BFest! I always tell my friends that I go for the people and not the cars. I mean, these are some very solid friendships with people I only see once a year!

I'm glad you had a good time. I was very happy to have hosted you all. I need to get my little story and pics up as well.

Very nice story and photos! I still need to get my photos posted. There used to be a burnt orange Beretta and it was Beautiful! Not sure what happened to it though.

I remember that car and who purchased it, he had a built engine he was going to put in it, but as most Beretta owners they have fallen off the face of the earth, no interest.

Isaac Hayes' car? I forgot all about that one. I wonder what the deal is with it.
