Will 93 parts (exterior) be compatible with my 88?

Post by Daellus »

Greetings! Christopher from south-central Louisiana.
I'm rather new to Berettas in general, so please bear
with my ignorance as I work on learning what I can.

A friend is soon to hook me up with an 88, and it's going
to need some serious love, though mostly cosmetic. The
engine and such are all great!

Turns out a PullApart near here (in Lafayette) just got
a 93 on the yard, so I'm curious about compatibility.
The parts in question would be the driver-side door,
passenger-side rear light fixture, driver seat. These
are my first concerns.

The door is still good, but the window is completely
busted out, so I'm thinking it may just be easier to
swap the whole door if a 93 will fit.

Much the same with the driver seat... missing the
window, obviously weather was not kind to it. :unknown:

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you in advance!

Probably not regarding the door, Chevy moved the seat belt configuration around on different model years.
Maybe the door shell will work if you can modify it to have the 88 seat belt arrangement.
I never owned an 88 or 93. We had a 90 and a 92 and now two 96s. So I'm assuming.
Maybe others have better info for you.
The side marker light is probably the same and the seat may work. You have to look how it's mounted.

Door will fit fine.
Seatbelt may be an issue. So will the inside door panel.
Seat will fit but will not match.
Markers and tail lights are all the same.

Oh and WELCOME to the mayhem!!
