Dodge Neon SRT-4 rims on my GTU?
Dodge Neon SRT-4 rims on my GTU?
The SRT-4 rims are these:
Will they fit without any spacers or anything? Is the tire size right, or close to right for a Beretta?
Anyone have pics of a Beretta with SRT-4 rims? (preferably a GTU, but any will do) I was thinking of picking some up for my GTU but I don't want them to rub or anything.

They will fit if you sell me your GTU wheels.

Haha I have a feeling shipping would be hell from PA to Canada. I think I'm gonna strip the GTU rims this winter if possible and polish the hell out of them.Asylum wrote:They will fit if you sell me your GTU wheels.
So they fit without issue? They seem to sell extremely cheaply.

I have seen them on Berettas and J Bodies.
They will fit unless I am missing something.
I will pay you a VERY fair price for you GTU wheels!!! REALLY!

Yes, they will fit...but they are more narrow than a Beretta wheel, and heavy compared to a similar aftermarket 17x7. There are better options out there.

Woody is right. You might have an issue with a 225 tire on there, but a 215 should be OK.
I don't know what came on the Neons.

I am on the lighter is better bandwagon for wheels & brakes. My 17x7s are 16lbs and probably one of the reasons my car has always ET'd well for what it is. I'm even in the market for some aluminum truck wheels because I want to drop some weight there too.

I ran a 225/45-17 on my old GTZ, never had any rub.

The issue was more with running a 225 on a 6" wheel. Per most tire manufacturers, the 6" wheel is the smallest you should run a 225/50R16 on.
All of the stock alloy 15"-16" wheels were 7" wide.

Re: Dodge Neon SRT-4 rims on my GTU?
WAY old post, I realize - But coming from a previous SRT4 owner - Avoid these wheels at all costs. THEY SUCK! They are just 17x6 and the standard 205 tire was so narrow it was silly. I went to a 225 tire for my 2nd set and they were terrible - They always looked (and felt) flat because of how they were misshaped to fit the narrow wheels. I went through 4 sets of tires on my SRT4 in 92,000 miles and I always blamed the wheels - Because they were so narrow, the tire had to be narrow. Because the tire had to be narrow, it had no grip relative to the engine's horsepower. As such they did little to plant the power properly and wore significantly quicker than a proper width tire.
Just my $.02. if anyone ever searches for the same thing.

Same thing applies for those who use the new chrome cavalier rims... They are the same narrow width.
