loosing coolant, oil looks like chocolate milk, help

I've searched and search, and I guess I'm a dunce
using the search feature.

3100 auto
140,000 miles
engine has 36,000 (questionable)

Anyways, I'm loosing coolant like no tomorrow. Oil looks like chocolate milk with not enough chocolate. At first I was thinking head gasket, but po said they were replaced before winter last year. From the few things I could find,, it's actually the limg? but wouldn't a bad head gasket do the same thing? The engine/bay shows no leaks or wetness. How can I differentiate between the two? And could someone link me the how to for either one? I know this is a common problem and shouldn't take long for an educated answer. That K's guys.

After a compression and leak down test passes, if you can snake a light into the rocker cover oil fill port and see the milk shake in there, I'd assume LIMG. If you are still not sure, remove both rocker covers and have a look see.

The rear head on those early 3x00 are known for cracking.

Been there done that. DON'T drive it! You will wipe out the cam bearings and snap the camshaft.

Very common problem. If you need help just ask, one way or another almost all of us have done it. Check on the 60 degree site for torque sequence and specs. By some cheap oil before you do it and pour it any where you see or have seen coolant(after you clean the milk out by hand and have the lower off).

Yup. Took filler cap off. Its every where. You can rub the oil and see the water separate. I need help guys...

I'll get you a link to the specs, there is no write up on this. I can tell you the samething as a manual: support the engine and take everything off the top end. You just have to set the PS pump to the side(you don't have to unhook it). The PS pump is in the way of two bolts, that is why you must take it off.
Get a pizza and save the box to keep the push rods in order. Just label where the front of the engine is on the box.
Label plug wires and any pig tail!
Don't fear it's easy, it just takes time. Oh and new injector O-rings!

Thanks guys. I think in good now. I did find the torque specs, but didn't see the sequence. Now, i also have to buy a 3/8 torquewrench. My 1/2 doesn't even begin to go that low. Well, rent it i mean.

Well, its going to be going the shop in the next month or so. Won't have time to work on it. New job starts Monday and ill be all over the place. Could be Arkansas, Tennessee, Pennsylvania etc. Be gone a lot. So unfortunatelyits going.to have to go to a shop. I appreciate all the help and responses. Sorry for the inconvenience.
