AC Unit HAS to go

well i just found out that aside from the fact my 94 3100 snapped a LF control arm (yay!) the AC unit it seized i really just want to get rid of the stinkin thing, anybody ever done it b4??
way i see it id just need to make a good bracket cover right?but i still need to do something about the serpentine belt, can someone help me out please?even ideas would be a big help at this point.

You can use the stock belt with the delete pulley.

thanks alot for the info now i can kill 2 birds with one stone, get rid of an a/c see if it makes any diff. in power and save myself $100 for a used a/c unit that ill never use.

There will not be any difference in power save for the 22 pounds of compressor you are removing.

actually someone one here has already removed an a/c and weighed everything and it weighed in at  almost 50 lbs, i think,  this was quite some time ago and if im not mistaken a 3.1l, but i mean hey with the way gas prices are going anything will help, its gotta be worth some ponies even 1-3 is worth the effort the car is almost not even worth it for power but being its our DD we need all the mileage help possible.

btw got that control arm fixed handles like a champ now
