fuse problem

hopefully someone can help 95 base beretta , this problem just developed overnight everytime i turn the ignition on it blows the number 9 fuse which feeds gauges/warning indicator, audible warning system , rear window defroster,a/c, drl and cruise control, dont have cruise , now i have unplugged everything that runs off this and it keeps blowing, i also did an ohm test and it zeros out but it still blows the fuse i also took the fuse box out thinking it could have a loose connection on the back but no luck i am totally stuck anyone have any ideas or have had this happen to them ... please help

You must have a shorted out wire somewhere...  or bad ign switch..  thinking more to a wire shorted out.  a ohm test will only tell you if you have a brake or making a circuit or ur loosing current..  what you could have a pos wire shorting out to ground when you turn thr switch on..

someone told me that it could be the drl causing it , could this be possible? and if so where is the drl controlif so where is it located? they told me it was behind the stereo  but theres nothing there but the heater core  there is a comp box right next to the ecm  behind the glove box.... is this it ? cause ive noticed every once in a while the lights would not come on  but for the most part the lights always stayed on. could this be a fualty control  thats finaly shorting out and if so can i just  unplug it ?

Ya could very well be a short in the drl box..   Seen that before..  disconect the box an see what happens.  as to location im not shure  im thinking your in the right location..  This should be the part# of the box 10098680.

nope that was no good , still blows i started thinking  i changed the fuel pump like two  months ago so maybe i gotta pinched wire goona take a look at that  today  but so far i trace all wires and found no problemsso i got one more idea and if it dont work, know anybody that wants to buy a car for cheap .....(haha)

well that was no good either,  i was doing some searching on the net and there was a  another person with the same problem  and the mechanic they took it to said it was a tranny problem  here is the message they posted.................. tell me what you think,.

Q. I have a 1994 Chevy Beretta and my #9 fuse kept blowing. It controlled a few exterior components; I tried to eliminate different items but continued to have the fuse blow. I took my car to a repair shop and they determined that a problem with my transmission was causing the fuse to blow. This seems odd to me that my transmission would cause a fuse to blow.

A. On today's newer vehicles many components are electronically controlled. Your transmission has electric solenoids that control the various shifting patterns. In our shop, we have seen where either the harness melts or a solenoid goes bad and creates a dead short in a circuit. I bet if you look in your owner's manual that #9 circuit controls not only interior options but also the transmission. It can be a rather complicated repair that you may want a professional to handle.

i dont think it have anything to do with it but that fuse has nothing to do with the tranny
