clutch shot
I just got another beretta 96 4cyl standard, the clutch is shot to all hell and wouldn't come out of gear, i had to remove the cv axles to get it to my house but i put a battery in today and it started right up... was still in gear and A/C works great anyway i just bought a new clutch kit from AZ $200 with LLT warranty so all is well but i was wondering how hard it would be to replace it? also the clutch doesn't have any pressure to it at all, i pulled the cap off the resvior and its completely bone dry empty i got some dot 3 fluid and im going to replace the clutch tom... what should i do about the clutch pressure? i know i have to bleed it but is their anything else i should do? this is my first time changing a clutch so any advice is greatly apprciated
btw i noticed a line coming from the trany was cut and capped off.. probably the mexican that owned it before me any way im going to mess with it tom morning and hopefully get it running... pics are sure to come

Yes u must bleed out all of the air on a new slave cylinder ( thing that releases the clutch)
you push the cylinder rod in to bleed the air from it you will need to do this servial times..
I would recomend making shure that everything gets replaced with new parts ( clutch, pressure plate, throwout bearing, slave cylinder, even the input seal on the tranny, outputs cv axle seals, even some people do the rear main while the tranny an the flywheel are off..
make shure you ger ur Flywheel resurfaced..

are the input seal and the output on the cv axles really a must? i know of some people that have changed them and now they have to replace them every 6-8 months
should i do the rear main seal even if it isin't leaking? i'm sure its good to do just in case but im not too sure.. thus asking for information
as always i appreciate it

You really dont have to change them if they arnt leaking.
but say 2 weeks down the road the rear main starts dripping  or the input shaft seal inside the tranny goes..
Oil down a  new clutch an much slippin will happen....
You have the stuff apart why not change it now and the seals dont cause much..
A correctly Installed seal wont go a few months down the road.. both seal surface an running surface must be preped so they dont leak. also using seal driving tools are a must ( in a pinch a socket fitting around the sealing surface will work).
beatting a seal in with a hammer just is wrong!! ( dont be like back-yard bob)0
