dash lights

hey im just wondering what lights should be on on my dash and what shouldnt there arent any that come on except one that when i start it it says inflate restraint and thats it but it goes out

should any other lights be on im just wondering becouse i just bought the car a couple months ago and i thought maybe some of the bulbs may be out?

also if i turn the key forward to accesories but dont start it the check engine light comes on is that normal?

That check engine light is normal. I believe all of the lights should flash when you turn the ignition on, as a way to be sure they aren't burnt out.

no just abs,brake,seat belt,and restraint, thats it.

can anyone tell me how to see if the bulbs are burned out without ripping the whole thing apart

"ripping the whole thing apart" is about a 2 minute job.
