What transmission fluid do I use in place of Dexron IIE or Dexron III?

What options do you have available to you?
DEXRON-VI is backwards compatible.
Mobil 1 ATF synthetic can be a substitute.

I was going to buy it from autozone. Autozone Coastal ATF +4, Autozone type F, and coastal mercon V multi vehicle synthetic blend.

Autozone should carry more than just that.
Mobil 1 ATF Syn is an option.
Based on your provided products; The AC +4 looks like a option.

Anything marked DexronIII is illegaly marked since that standard is obsolete, so it would be anything Dexron VI or Dexron VI compatible.
This link may work... Costal has a Dexron VI and so does Castrol from Autozone.

Thats just in the Autozone store brand. They also offer Valvoline max life dex/merc, valvoline max life dex/merc high mileage, valvoline merc 5, valvoline multi blend synthetic,1988GTU wrote:Autozone should carry more than just that.

This would have been the appropriate question to ask initially.
Flush the trans using Dex6 if you are seeking for fluid manufacture technical guidance next.
