Selector cable? (1990 GTZ Q4) 17870 Central PA

Post by GTU89 »

Anyone have a good selector cable (the thin one)? I repaired my aftermarket POS but it still doesnt feel good, and 60% of the time it wont allow me to go over to 5th or reverse which is bad on a daily driver especially lol.

My original seems good but both ends are bent badly, if anyone has tips for straightening the original I'd be happy to hear ideas lol. No local junkyards have [Quad] GTZ's to get a cable from and V6 and 2.0/2.2 [Izuzu trans] cables are wrong.

I have a OEM selector cable, but I will say, it took a long time with salvage yard trips with interior disassembly to come across it.

1988GTU are you willing to sell the cable? gonna hit a junkyard up tomorrow and see what I can get, no GTZs but maybe I can use one from a V6 or some other FWD GM of the era if they arent too crappy from sitting.
