Always hate the "did I do this?" then the "oh crap better check". After pulling it apart again you find that you did do it. Better to be sure.....helps you sleep at night. At my age it's almost a good idea to write it down.
The easy HP cars leave you with the fact that someone always has more money, more power and they have a show car(or close). I can't have the best or fastest of any of them even in just my area code. Don't even have a nice Beretta, but there are just few in the whole state. I may not be the fastest, but this car must be close(lol). Now if I can just save it from the rust and do a 3400 swap! Then I'd have one of the fastest for sure in this state. Ah who cares? Just got to be the way I want it and fun. Oh and be reliable.

I think pushing 260hp in a n/a Beretta is a pretty good achievement. I also agree with everything is custom or custom built, you don't see many of these cars on the road anymore (atleast I don't here) its kinda nice to drive something custom built rather than custom bought.

I'm hoping it's over 260hp... more like 270-280 if not even more LOL... I would like to see 220-230 at the wheels and with 20% drive train loss that puts the crank power at 275-285. But we'll see how that all works out.

Yes but then you wouldn't be so different. I think mid 12's with a V6 is pretty respectable and I honestly feel that the only reason why thing's take more time and money is because of the lack of aftermarket so you need to either mix and match, or custom make stuff work and I think that brings more pride to the build vs just another Camaro with a cam and headers, or another overly boosted Subaru.... LOL It's all been done. ;)
I’m not saying your project that you have going on isn’t respectable. It’s great work and you’re very real with your goal. I lost count on how many times I read/see/hear about folks not giving themselves a reality check for the project they’re taking underway.
Reading your progress, the expectations you set for, and the other tidbits is good stuff bud. If anything, the surprises in the outcome of it all will probably be all positive or at least a learning experience that wont make you feel all depressed.

We all have a time where we stop, sit back, and just want to enjoy a simple easy route. But then, the "difference" of it all keeps us driving forward.

My bros 03 cl-s 6spd pushes 260 Hp ish at the crank and that thing rips. I don't know what the weight differences are between the Beretta and the Acura is. Regaurdles your cars gonna be quick.

My Subaru was 250 at the crank and I though that was quick... Now it's 255 at the wheels...

Obviously all this talk is N/A... because with the nitrous it better be over 300 like closer to 325whp :)

A cage. Good job you made it into 11's, you have to put a cage in. Oops, the cage has added weight and now you are back in the 12's. More time and money just to "need" the cage you spent a ton on. Got to love that!

A 6-pt roll bar is not needed until 11.49. And a 10-pt cage is not needed until 9.99 unless you cut up your floor and firewall - then it's 10.99.

I'm shooting for 11.50s. haha

A half second is at least something. Wonder what it's like to have to think "if I do this will it make me too fast?"
