Beretta Z28
Re: Beretta Z28
Bent up on the brake and welded in the missing sections of the seat rails. Also stitch welded in the back of the wiper cowl.

Re: Beretta Z28
Just thought of this - are you going to have to shorten the drive shaft - or is the rear axle in the stockish location?

Re: Beretta Z28
Lengthened - dang! With all these late model swaps you always hear of shortening - not adding material!
Thats pretty cool - keep up the good work!

Look in to a truck drive shaft. Easier and less cost to shorten than the other way around.

Re: Beretta Z28
I have the drive-shaft from my 68 Camaro drag racing setup, small block with turbo 400 to Dana 60 rear end.
I had to have a new one made when I went big block. If come up with the center to center distance of the u joints
and let me know I can measure mine. Maybe you can use it.

Re: Beretta Z28
One of my coworkers order a driveshaft for his old Firebird from Denny's Driveshafts and was very satisfied with the price and quality.

Re: Beretta Z28
$300-400 is too high, when I had one made, without them supplying trans yoke, it was about $200 shipped.
I gave them my center to center distance and the size u joint I needed and they made it up and shipped it.
I asked about adding an 1-1/2" to my old one and they said it was easier and better just to make new,
than try and add to mine. Thats why I have one laying around.
Shop around if your having one made.

Re: Beretta Z28
driveshaft will need to be 46 5/8 inches long from the face of the tans where the seal sits to the face or center line of the yoke. also it will need to be the same spline count on the output shaft and have the same yoke as a chevy 10 bolt rearend A= 3 1/2 inches and B =1 1/2 inches.
