Yeah according to nhra specs any modification to oem firewall and fuel cell in trunk area...... the min thickness requirements for steel are .024" so that's no problem.....

Not the most exciting progress update .....but removed the dynamat from the interior of the quarters, roof, and rear speaker package in prep for rear fire wall stuff.....and for eventual interior cage and paint......had to get it out now before cage and fire wall are in the way.

Made the final template for the new rear speaker package tray and mocked up the cross bar for where I want the leading edge of the rear fire wall to be

Welded what was left of the factory speaker package tray (where the trunk hinges bolt to) to the 1 by cross brace to support them and fitted the new speaker package tray filler panel.
