i have just replaced the rod bearings on my 3.1 and when i try to rotate the crank it will not budge on bit tried the starter nothin, i was told it could be vapor lock but i think the trans somehow locked up any ideas would be appreciated . all rods are correctly put together and torqued to spec along with the mains so im stumped and i just want my car back a beretta V. a cougar w/no radio - no competition

Assuming that you pulled the engine when you did them would lead me to think that it could be the tranny is misaligned. This will cause a lockup pretty quick as the tc gets ****-eyed in the flywheel and the tranny pump and locks the whole thing solid. Never try the starter when you first turn an engine, always use a breaker bar and verify it turns first.
Other things to consider:
Did it turn while you were doing the bearings? Did you put on a little pre-lube? Were the bearings the right size? Did the timing slip or break?

no i performed the bearing jobs with the engine in the car. I was able to turn the engine by the flexplate bolts and the UDP after i had completed the job. What i did was take the bearing cap off tap the piston and rod assembly up and over the crank replace the bearing, applied prelube slid the assembly back over the crank, and replace the cap and torque to spec. i was talking to my auto techer today and he said one of the rods could be tweaked. and that would cause the the crank to lock. FYI i turned the crank while the car was in park if that could do anything. Someone else said it could be vapor lock but i highly doubt that situation.

You could have tweaked a rod and that will do it, but by turning the engine with the tranny in park you also may have caused a hill lock if the tranny got turned a little. Hill lock is a simple case of the parking pawl getting jammed in place when pressure is applied in the trans. if you cannot shift outta park it is hill locked and you just need to nudge the car forward or back until it frees up and then shift out to neutral before going back to park.
Check the side clearance of the rods to determine if one is tweaked.

well ifgured it out being in a rush i put the bearings on but then when i drained the oil pan because there was some water in the pan from when it rained i found a circular chunk of metal, i came to the conclusion it was a piece of one of the piston skirts followed by a few F@#$ and What the H$%$ and then man i have to rebuild after a f^%&&^ year. so i might be getting my hands on a 3.1 turbo out of a sun bird turbo so that will be very cool.
