As I recall the votes are weighted based on past attendence.
Plus perhaps there are reasons people may not have attended in the past, geography could be one of them.
Maybe they just weren't here in past years.
So now they can vote on a location they may in fact be able and willing to attend.

Did you go to the BFest group or the Berettanet yahoo group? Sounds like Timmah has been out of the loop for too long.

Ok, everyone BREATHE!
1. I just cleared everyone who applied for membership.
2. Tim, go to the "polls" section... it should be right at the top
3. Voting weight: Let me indulge my plan for everyone...
The current voting is ONLY the primary vote. Its purpose is to narrow the field down to 2 finalists. From there we will be holding another vote to determine the winner. I planned to have the primary (and I think I did it this way for '05...) wide open. The format for the final voting will be as in years' past. There will be three polls, one for people who have nevery been to a bfest, one for 1 year attendees, and one for 2+ years attended. The weight will be:
0 bfests= 1 vote
1 bfests= 2 votes
2+ bfests= 3 votes
This will sort out the first year people, but yet give them a little more of a say here in the primaries. The race is currently very close, with a difference of only 7 votes seperating 1st from 3rd! So, there you have it. Don't worry folks, I haven't lost my marbles yet..... If anyone has more specific questions feel free to ask here or PM me.

How do you know who has attended and who hasn't? Email addresses? I'm not sure I may have any info on my profile that would tell you I've been to one?

Ok, I need approved for Bfest too. I remembered from back in the day their was a seperate list. So I wasn't suprised when I couldn't find anything on Berettanet list. But yet my search results for "beretta" fest turned up nothing. However I now have found Bfest!!
