ABS trouble

Post by leadfoot93 »

my abs kicks in really easily and i was wondering if i could fix it.  on dry pavement at about thirty i start hitting the brakes by the time i'm down to abour ten miles an hour my car jerks about thre times and i go about ten feet past where i want to stop.  Any moderate-hard braking on dry pavement sets it off. I don't even want to test it on wet.  New tires and the pads are still good yet '93 3.1 auto

you might have a chipped ring gear or bad abs sensor on the wheel, the do tend to get covered by brake dust but the easy way you could just pop the abs fuse(s) out and it would disable the abs and you would just have normal brakes,if you do this remember to pump your brakes when coming to hard stop or you  could warp your rotors/drums
