Hood problem

Post by carole012 »

I don't know if i'm in the right forum or not but here goes anyway.  I have a 1989 Beretta GT with a BIG problem with the hood release.  The lever (handle) whatever it is...lol  under the dash broke off.  Is there a way I can open the hood without it?  Maybe from under the car?  Anywhere?  HELP!!! yes you can get at it by reaching up from underneath right infront of the radiator.  But you will need to reach all the way up to the release.

if  you can see the cable that is attached to latch underneath the dash where the latch was ,you can just pull it with a pair of pliers

They sell a kit for a new cable at Murray's.  However, i don't think i'm up to the task of installing it.  lol  Mainly because you have to get the hood open to do it...  hahaha
