Update #2
Hi everyone!
We have been busy little...  well, you know ÂÂÂ
I would like to update all of you on the progress of planning Bfest '07, and the addition of some exciting events to our schedule. ÂÂÂ
Bfest webpage: ÂÂÂ
-Our webpage should be getting an update in the coming week or so to reflect the changes for this year.  Everyone give a big thanks to Rex for giving a helping hand on this, without it we would be a bit behind on this task.  Thanks Rex!
Bfest Car Show/Picnic:
-The committee has officially secured a shelter at a very nice park.  The area is large, with a large parking lot to accomodate us all.  Check it out at: Willow MetroPark
GM Heritage Center Tour:
-The committee has secured us a tour at the famous GM Heritage Center on friday from 2-3:30pm.  What, you've never heard of the Heritage Center?  Join the club!  The GM Heritage Center is a museum of GM artifacts and vehicles from nearly 100 years of GM history!  The Heritage Center is NOT OPEN TO THE PUBLIC, so this tour will be a ONE OF A KIND EXPERIENCE!!  The cost of the tour is $12 per person.  I would encourage everyone to check out the website, but there is not one.  If you Google it, you will get back a few articles written about the Heritage Center...  I highly recommend reading as many as you can if you want more information.  We are very excited to add this to our itinerary!
Bfest Registration:
-We are in the process of getting the registration site set up again, and hopefully we will get registration open around the 1st of March!  IMPORTANT: The committee has decided that the cost of the Heritage Center Tour will be included in the Bfest Registration.  You will notice that the cost of Registration has risen $12 per person to reflect this.  Registration for 2007 will be: $27 per car/driver, and $17 per passenger.  The non-public nature of the Heritage Center means that we must pay all at once as a group.  Including this cost in registration will allow us to write one check to GM and not worry about checking people in, or dividing up cost.  If anyone has questions on this matter, PLEASE email me directly at pridmj24@uwgb.edu
Additional Activities:
-We are looking into additional activities for friday.  GM doesn't seem to like the idea of public factory tours, so this seems out of the question.  One that I have found that I will personally like to see is the Ford Rouge Tour (The Rouge)It includes a history lesson of sorts, a museum, and a real tour of the working factory!  Anyone who knows automotive history understands the importance of the Rouge on our history, and those who don't should go learn!   I would like to get a gauge of interest on this, because if we have enough interest we can get a group rate for this tour.  I will set up a poll to see interest.  This would be best for us to see before the Heritage Center, like probably 10-11am ish on friday.
We will keep you up to date as things are happening!  Got comments?  We'd like feedback, so post back if you want!!!

Update #2
We'll see. I'm trying to justify driving 16 hours for the 3 hour tour of a lifetime. Possibly all in one day.
